1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, using the platform, submitting an application or payment, or ticking the agreement box at checkout, you enter a binding agreement with ACUdemy. If you act for a school, parent, guardian or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that person or organisation. A parent or lawful guardian must authorise a child’s use where required.
2. Services and accounts
The service supports school administration, learning, admissions, communications, records, fees and related functions. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, promptly report suspected misuse, and use the service only for lawful educational or administrative purposes. You are responsible for actions taken through your account unless caused by our failure to apply reasonable security.
3. Fees, checkout and payment
- Prices and material charges are displayed before checkout. Payment may be processed by an independent payment provider; full card details are not stored by this application.
- A transaction is complete only after the payment provider verifies it or an authorised administrator confirms an offline transfer. A reference submission is not proof of payment.
- Subscription periods, school fees, admission fees and donation purposes are those shown at checkout. Taxes or gateway charges will be disclosed where applicable.
- Refunds, cancellations and service remedies will be handled fairly under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018. Nothing in these terms excludes a non-waivable consumer right.
4. Acceptable use
You must not break the law; impersonate another person; upload unlawful, harmful or infringing material; harass users; compromise assessments; probe or bypass security; introduce malware; scrape data without authority; or disrupt the service. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or prevent harm, and will give notice where practicable.
5. School content and intellectual property
Schools and users retain ownership of content they lawfully submit and grant the limited permission needed to host, back up, transmit and process it to provide the service. The application, branding, software and original materials remain the property of their respective owners. You must have permission for every record, image, document and work you upload.
6. Availability and changes
We use reasonable care to keep the service secure and available, but maintenance, connectivity, third-party services and events beyond reasonable control may cause interruption. We may improve or change features without removing accrued legal rights. Material changes to these terms will be notified through the service or an appropriate contact channel and will state a new effective date.
7. Liability
Each party remains responsible for loss caused by its fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence or breach of law. To the extent the law permits, neither party is liable for indirect loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. No clause limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited under Nigerian consumer or other applicable law.
8. Complaints and disputes
Please first contact privacy@acudemy.school so the issue can be investigated. Consumer complaints may also be taken to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. Privacy complaints may be taken to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Parties should attempt good-faith resolution before litigation; Nigerian courts have jurisdiction where informal resolution fails.
